Aston Manor Sports Academy

Aston Manor Sports Academy is one of the first-of-its-kind in Birmingham and offers an fantastic  opportunity for talented young people to pursue their passion while gaining important qualifications that will enable them to be successful in their future careers.

It is one of our biggest  success stories and we attract students from all over the Midlands. Our academies include football and basketball academies, where both boys and girls can study a range of A-level and vocational subjects, alongside daily training and competitions. 

Athletic success

The sports academy also nurtures individual athletes. We have seen some unbelievable successes, including one a student securing an American sports scholarship to play golf and another winning a place on the sprint team with GB U20 Athletics. Students displaying outstanding talent can combine their educational pathways with high level coaching in a range of sports. Those with wider interests have the opportunity to have a a bespoke education package designed to meet their future aspirations put together for them.

Aston Manor Academy Sports Awards

We celebrate the outstanding success of our sports teams each year at our sixth form Sports Awards, held at the Aston Villa FC executive suite. Staff and students come together to recognise the hard work, dedication and resilience of our students, who work and train hard to combine academic study with training and competitions.
